2022 was a special year for it marked our 10-year anniversary as an organization and enabled us to reflect on the journey we started toward the vision of a toxic-free future.

2023 saw momentous achievements in promoting sound chemicals and waste management at grassroot, national, regional and international through meaningful engagements with stakeholders as in the highlights that follow.

As we reflect on 2024, we are proud to share our progress in advancing a just and sustainable society free from toxic chemicals. This year, CEJAD significantly scaled up efforts to protect communities from the harms caused by chemicals and waste.

A study by CEJAD highlights the continued prevalence of mercury-added skin-lightening products and considers, 'legal hooks' available to address this challenge in the context of e-commerce, which has become a major entry point for these toxic cosmetics.
